Speed Radar Overview

The speed radar is a speed detection device that reads the speed of traffic within the front view of the vehicle. It was designed to be as realistic as possible, but still practical for RP use.

Radar Screen Layout

You have a large full width LED status display, and three LED displays form left to right. "TARGET" the speed of the vehicle actively in radar range, "FAST LOCK" the speed limit you have set to trigger lock, "PATROL" the speed that your vehicle is traveling.

FIRMWARE
Shows software version unit is running.

NO FAST LOCK SET
No fast lock set on radar.

FAST LOCK SET
Confirms speed entry into radar.

RADAR ACTIVE
Radar actively scanning.

Speed Radar Remote Button Layout

POWER
Turns Speed Radar On/Off.

PRINT TICKET
Prints Speeding Ticket After Fast Lock Triggered.

RESUME
Resumes Radar Operation After Fast Lock.

SET FASTLOCK
Sets Fast Lock Trigger Speed with Textbox.

Speed Radar Main Unit Button Layout

VOLUME UP
Turns Up Sound Alert.

VOLUME DOWN
Turns Down Sound Alert.

Speed Radar Operation

  1. Click
    POWER
    on the speed radar remote while sat in the vehicle with ignition on.
  2. You will notice the unit wake up and display its current firmware version. Then it will display "NO FAST LOCK SET.
  3. Click
    SET FASTLOCK
    a textbox will show on your screen ready for you to enter the Fast Lock speed trigger.
  4. Your speed radar should now show "RADAR ACTIVE".
  5. Once a speed violator is locked your speed radar should look similar to display below.

  6. Once your radar has the lock information you can click
    PRINT TICKET
    on the dash remote or on the HUD when outside your vehicle.
  7. To place your speed radar back in service after you have issued the violation, click
    RESUME
